Sterile Processing Technicians 

Work Schedule:

• Flexibility: Rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, may be required based on the needs of the Medical Center. This includes any days declared by executive order of the President of the United States.

Shift Details:

• 8-hour workdays with a 30-minute lunch break, as workload permits.
• 15-minute breaks for every 4 hours worked, in compliance with Department of Labor regulations.
• Overtime: May occasionally be requested.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform sterilization, decontamination, and preparation of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Ensure adherence to sterilization protocols and maintain high standards of infection control.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to meet operational and patient care needs.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of two years of recent experience as a Sterile Processing Service Technician.
• Certification: Must hold a valid HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) Certification or CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution) Certification.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
