Job Description
Bungie is searching for an experienced Storage Administrator. You will be administering the infrastructure for our systems and people making our world class games. Bungie IT is a growing team whose day-to day duties and challenges are varied, from supporting creative staff with high end applications to maintaining servers, networks and a wide array of storage infrastructure. You should have strong troubleshooting skills, a team-oriented attitude, exceptional customer service skills, and an interest in expanding your technical breadth. As we often tread the cutting edge of new technology, adaptability and a strong desire to research, investigate, and roll out new technologies is a must.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting in implementing new storage systems
- Managing upgrades/updates, providing support and new storage provisioning requests for existing storage solutions
- Monitor capacity and performance of storage systems, determine and implement performance tuning as needed to ensure applications are operating optimally
- Provide hardware, software and OS support
- Analyze and debug storage performance issues
- Update or create documentation as required
- Install and update server and network storage equipment
- Collaborate with the team to deploy and test new hardware
- Lifecycle planning and maintenance including migration and decommissioning of old systems
- Participate in shared on-call rotation
- Work with technology partners to support/maintain internal systems
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Block protocol knowledge, iSCSI preferred
- Strong knowledge of Network Attached Storage protocols, CIFS/SMB
- Strong understanding of storage fundamentals
- Ability to work in a multi-platform hardware environment
- Must be self-motivated, team player, with ability to learn quickly and contribute to a fast paced, deadline intensive, highly technical environment
- Excellent organizational, time management, project coordination, and communication skills
- Great customer service skills, and experience in a role involving direct customer interaction (internal and external customers)
- Experience with DAS configured servers including disk array management and troubleshooting
- Previous experience in a similar role in a high availability enterprise environment
- Functional knowledge of networking applicable to NAS and SAN environments as well as general campus networks
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
- S3/NFS
- Storage replication technologies both within and across multiple platforms, as well as public cloud
- Industry Certifications
- Server hardware troubleshooting
- Routing protocols

- 20 days of accrued time-off in the form of PTO and sabbatical days, depending on the level of the position
