Storage Engineer

The opportunity

• As a Storage Infrastructure Reliability Engineer, you will be part of the infrastructure operations engineering team. You will be working with some of the latest infrastructure technologies and methodologies to design, implement, migrate, and maintain the on-premises and cloud server infrastructure as well as being involved in our key project work.

Responsibilities

• 3-5 years of overall infrastructure experience and current expertise with storage management in on-premises DC environment plus Azure cloud storage infrastructure.
• Follow up with 3rd party vendors for firmware/patching assessment, and change/incident/problem review.
• Create, maintain backup policies, perform backup, and restore, troubleshooting, and reporting.
• Support storage and backup integration with Databases (DB2, MSSQL, and Oracle) and Middleware technologies.
• Create, maintain, and review operational and technical documentation.
• Monitoring of all storage and backup hardware-software.

What we are looking for

• An in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud storage and backup technologies.
• Experience with Dell EMC, NetApp storage including Protect Point, Avamar, Veeam backup and Cisco MDS SAN switches.
• Proven incident-problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of operating systems: VMware, AIX, Linux and Windows.
• Knowledge of Storage migration, replication tools for Storage.
• Knowledge of Databases and Middleware related Storage and backup integration, techniques, and technologies.
