Storage Engineer

MANDATORY SKILLS: Skills in performing in-depth support, administrative functions, and performance management for NetApp data storage controllers running the ONTAP operating system in NFS and Windows (CIFS) multiprotocol environments. Or skills in any Data storage administration in general.
Understanding on how to implement high-availability controller configurations, and have knowledge of technologies used to manage and protect mission-critical data.
Working knowledge with BrocadeHPE SAN Switches and Brocade Network Advisor software or Webtools.
Ability to identify, troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues.
Knowledge of Backup storage solutions architecture design, installation, configuration and administration in mission critical production environments.
Experience in CommVault Backup technologies design, implementation and administration and Management. Or knowledge on any of the following backup storage solutions: IBM Tivoli Storage Manager, Veritas Netbackup, Barracuda Backups technologies or Veeam Backup & Replication.
Working experience with Quantum Tape libraries or any LTO Libraries.
Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the servers/storage/san network devices/backup libraries, etc.
Working experience with VMware vSphere/vCenter.
Working experience with SQL cluster servers.
Working experience with Windows/Linux servers.
DoD 8570 Compliance with internal certification level 1 is required.
A TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required for this role.

Strong Interpersonal, analytical and investigation skills, with a structured approach to problem solving.
Able to grasp new concepts quickly and efficiently.
DoD 8570 Compliance with internal certification level 1 is required.
