STP Summer 2023 Intern - Enterprise Data Team

Sinclair Broadcast Group is hiring for an intern this Summer on our Enterprise Data Team! This internship will reside in the Enterprise Data area of the Information Technology department. This area hosts the Data Science and Data Engineering functions. The selected intern will be assigned to work with a member of this team. The intern will participate in various aspects of the data science and engineering practice. This would include the collection, analysis, modeling, and visualization of data used in the organization.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Develop an understanding of the key components of a data science and engineering practice
• Support the Enterprise Data team activities in support of the needs of the organization
• Collaborate across business areas to promote the objectives of the enterprise data team.
• Prepare a presentation to be shared at both the midpoint and final point of the internship
• Work within deadlines and stay on-task independently

Skills and Experience:

• Energy and motivation to become an integral member of Corporate IT team!
• General knowledge and understanding of Information Technology
• Demonstrated writing and communications skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to take the initiative, adapt to a dynamically changing environment and meet designated deadlines
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
• Must be self-directed and able to work independently, as well as in a team environment.

The requirements we are looking for in an Intern include:

• Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
• U.S. Citizenship or Green Card holder
• Part-time (< 30>
• Confirmation of enrollment in accredited college

End Date: August 11, 2023
