SUMMARY
The Strategic Account Executive focuses efforts on developing and securing relationships with identified Key and Strategic Accounts. The Strategic Account Executive has an expert level understanding of products, services and applications that can be offered. This position also has a clear understanding of internal leaders, key team members and other resources that are integral in positioning Imperative to fulfill Service Excellence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Engagement and Strategy:
- Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with key customer senior stakeholders, aligning our offerings with their needs.
- Identify growth opportunities within the account and devise tailored solutions in collaboration with internal teams.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic account plan, encompassing objectives, targets, and strategic actions aligned with the client's business strategies.
Technical Collaboration and Issue Resolution:
- Collaborate closely with technical teams to grasp the technical aspects of our chemical solutions and communicate their value proposition effectively to the customer.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for addressing challenges and concerns from the customer, coordinating internal efforts for swift resolution.
Coordination and Communication:
- Coordinate with internal personnel to develop growth strategies that align with the customer's objectives.
- Lead customer lunch-and-learn events and collaborate with internal teams for other informative workshops.
- Act as the main conduit between key customers and internal personnel, managing transfer of essential information.
Sales and Business Development:
- Lead negotiations on contract terms, pricing, and agreements, ensuring a win-win approach that meets the customer's expectations and our business goals.
- Maintain a sales pipeline and cultivate relationships with key customers.
- Identify key customers and opportunities for further business development within the account.
Continuous Alignment and Support:
- Ensure continuity and alignment of strategies across the company, collaborating with personnel from various departments.
- Provide timely customer service, addressing queries, resolving issues, and fulfilling data requests using Imperative tools.
Reporting and Insights:
- Deliver regular reports, updates, and forecasts to management, providing transparency into the account's progress, opportunities, and challenges.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive intelligence to offer informed insights.
Availability and Assistance:
- Be readily available to provide customer service and support at any time, meeting the needs of the customer promptly.
- Address internal or external needs swiftly, contributing to the overall success of the partnership.
- Available to travel as necessary to support the business and customer needs.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree preferred.
- 5+ years of applicable industry experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of chemical process and utilization.
- In-depth understanding of specialty chemical products, applications, and industry trends.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric approach.
- Proficiency in collaborating with cross-functional teams and coordinating information transfer.
COMPUTER
- Skilled in applications used for data analysis, reporting, and effective communication.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Must complete and pass all required pre-employment screenings.
