The Role

As Strategic Account Manager you are accountable for the retention and growth of Common Energy's most strategic accounts. You will focused on building trusted relationships with our largest community solar subscribers, ensuring high service levels by all Common Energy teams, and thereby drive long-term customer environmental impact and lowering of their electricity spend.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining and growing the relationships with Common Energy's Impact's most strategic national accounts with substantial community solar subscriptions
  • Adoption and development of best practices for Account penetration and development to be a trusted advisor for client stakeholders, with focus to continually nurture relationships with the client's C-Suite, decision makers and owners and other influencers
  • Develop cross functional strategy for account retention and growth, identifying areas of improvement across Common Energy
  • Lead by example, by contributing individually to complete key workstreams and as a role model for the customer experience and sales teams
  • Build a positive, supportive, performance-oriented culture within the sales team, and supporting Common Energy's collaborative culture
  • Contribute to a positive, fun work environment!

Who We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business or technical area; MS or MBA a plus but not required
  • 10 or more years of experience in client management or sales, preferably in the energy and/or renewables sectors
  • Experience coordinating internal teams and executives to deliver for strategic accounts
  • You want to work for a company with a high impact mission, and on problems that make the world a better place
  • You have outstanding relationship building skills and ability to quickly establish trust
  • You are driven, self-motivated, enthusiastic and have a "can do" attitude
  • You thrive in a startup environment - you welcome change, and the opportunity to lead a team through ambiguous situations to deliver tangible results
  • You have permanent authorization to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship
