YOU

As a Strategic Account Representative, you will be building and strengthening new and existing customers by providing relentless customer focus. You will work closely with sales leadership to identify opportunities to increase product line offerings. You will be a member of a select team who will provide no equal service and support to customers and our sales team. This role will be responsible for resolving complex and/or escalated issues and will have a high degree of discretion and independent decision in resolving our customers’ needs. Excellent communication with the sales team will be required for this role. Must be self-motivated with the proven ability to multi-task and follow through with minimal supervision.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)

Manage interactions with customers with complex or escalated issues who require additional support or service. Strengthen current customer relationships in order to ensure we are their best vendor by creating unique solutions and deploying an array of strategies to resolve and exceed our customers’ needs. (50%)

Proactively engage our customers and sales team to identify value-added services and additional product offerings for our existing customers. (30%)

Determine appropriate action to take to resolve complex/escalated issues with customers as identified by sales management, make necessary exceptions to resolve the issues. (15%)

Visiting customer locations and attending customer events with outside sales team. (5%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • 3 years of experience in SST customer service with proven high-level communication skills or 5 years of customer service experienced required.
  • Accountability & Dependability: consistent dependability to meet customer needs as well as accountability for actions taken to provide for those needs. Able to consistently demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance.
  • Computer Skills: proven experience using multiple SAP T-Codes to answer inventory questions. Experience creating and modifying Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
  • Customer Focus: ability to quickly and effectively solve customer problems. Ability to understand the overall process of SST including the ordering process, production, inventory control process, field involvement of customer pricing, how products are displayed, and the customer-to-rep relationship.
  • Reading Comprehension: able to read and write simple correspondence and able to follow instructions.
  • Analysis/Reasoning: ability to recognize opportunity for customer growth and solve problems with a variety of variables.
  • Communication: able to effectively communicate with customers, sales reps and managers. Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers who sometimes prove difficult with their demands.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment where standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers/scanners, etc. are frequently used.

TRAVEL

This position may require domestic travel up to 5% of the time.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, exempt position is located in Stockton, CA.

RELOCATION

Relocation is not available for this position.

PAY

$54,100 - $86,600 / year
