What you'll master:

As a Strategic Capacity Rep, you will be responsible for working with the Carrier Leadership Team to grow the contract carrier network, while decreasing freight spend and maintaining expected levels of service. Some specific job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Tender Acceptance

    • Monitor client management's tendering process to make sure the right carriers are getting their assigned freight.
  • Carrier Selection

    • Oversee award process and set up carriers that will provide proper alignment of Capstone's customer's expectations and service requirements.
  • Carrier Development

    • Utilize Capstone software and lane history to identify gaps in VolPrice network density, then act to find, vet, and negotiate rates to transition asset partners to contract carriers.
    • Call and develop carrier network in the great plains region.
  • Routing Guide Management

    • Ensure execution of carrier commitments on PCCS lanes, confirm contracts are being signed returned in a timely fashion, and act on corrective action plans for any carriers that have limitations in service or discrepancies in pre-negotiated contractual rates.
  • Service Audits

    • Review acceptance, on-time pickup, and on-time delivery scores regularly to identify where any improvements need to be made.
