Seeking a Cloud Commercial Expert to join our fast-growing, Global Deal Desk team. The Deal Desk, Strategic Deal Manager role is viewed as a trusted and recognized business partner to the Sales Field and Customer Success Organization. The Deal Desk, Strategic Deal Manager will support all commercial related activities including, but not limited to, deal structuring and pricing, contract creation, review, and approval for offers, and providing support to the Sales Field on Anaplan’s quoting tools. This role will be primarily focused on Anaplan’s strategic accounts and/strategic deals.
This position can be located remotely in the U.S.
Your Impact
- Provide expert guidance to the Sales field and Customer Success in the areas of deal structuring, pricing, and contract management.
- Ensure deals are structured and processed efficiently and align to company policies
- Review, interpret and confirm contract terms and conditions; work closely with finance and legal teams to ensure all contracts are accurate. Verify compliance with internal policies (and external regulations).
- Responsible for drafting, modifying, and finalizing contracts including new, add-on and renewal business for Cloud Subscription Services.
- Review and approve deals for Anaplan customers and prospects.
- Anticipate issues and initiate actions to resolve them using professional judgment and concepts, company policies and procedures.
- Take care of day-to-day queries from Sales, and Account Management teams on Anaplan’s quoting tools and/or CRM system.
- Support Sales enablement through new hire training initiatives and ad hoc training requests as needed.
- Independently drive efficiency and process improvements. Support commercial projects on an as-needed basis.
Your Qualifications
- A “Customer First” perspective and ethos
- Experience supporting global / multinational customer and deals, MSP experience a plus
- Outstanding business partnering skills – able to interact positively with the Sales Field and influence business outcomes.
- Excellent understanding of most Deal Support/Commercial topics (pricing, deal structuring, contracting etc.); familiarity with SaaS revenue recognition policies a plus
- Excellent understanding of commercial terms and conditions
- The ability to acquire knowledge of our products and the value they provide to Anaplan’s Customers.
- The ability to acquire a detailed understanding of Anaplan’s corporate goals and objectives and consider these goals/objectives within the design of offers.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, complete activities, and meet deadlines every day.
- Requires strong oral and written communication skills
- Requires a 4-year college degree
- A minimum of 5 years professional experience in Deal Desk, Sales Operations or Finance in a SaaS company.
- Requires proficiency with computer applications, such as Windows, Excel, and Word and CRM systems – SFDC and CPQ experience a plus.
