Job Summary:
We are seeking a Strategic Finance Associate within our Strategic Finance/FP&A team to report directly to the Finance Director. In this role you will be supporting the company’s growth as a contributor to our forecasting, financial modeling, and execution of strategic initiatives. You will analyze financial and operational data to drive insights and reporting for internal and external stakeholders. This role will be highly impactful with opportunities to work directly with senior leadership and expand responsibilities as the company grows.
The successful candidate will bring experience with financial modeling and is excited about the challenge of helping build out the Strategic Finance function at a high-growth healthcare technology company.
What will you do:
Build and maintain the company’s financial models, incorporating scenario and sensitivity analyses
Drive the development and ongoing measurement of key financial and performance metrics
Support the evaluation and execution of strategic initiatives, including equity fundraising and debt financing
Assist in producing and delivering monthly/quarterly reporting for senior leadership and the board of directors, including quarterly board materials
Help identify and execute process and systems improvements to support company growthÂ
Partner with the People team on workforce planning
- Work with executive leaders on budgeting processes including recurring operating reviews
Act as a finance partner to departments across the company to provide analytical support
Work closely with the Accounting team to ensure alignment between planning and actuals
What will you bring to SmithRx:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
2-4 years of experience in investment banking and/or strategic finance/FP&A with exposure to SaaS or tech-enabled business models
Experience building and maintaining complex financial models
Ability to think strategically and commercially
Willingness to embrace ambiguity and unstructured situations
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Team player with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationshipsÂ
Advanced proficiency with Google Sheets, Google Slides, Excel and Powerpoint
Strong financial analysis skills with an understanding of GAAP
