Job Description

About Paxos

Today’s financial infrastructure is archaic, expensive, inefficient and risky — supporting a system that leaves out more people than it lets in. So we’re rebuilding it.

We’re on a mission to open the world’s financial system to everyone by enabling the instant movement of any asset, any time, in a trustworthy way. For over a decade, we’ve built blockchain infrastructure that tokenizes, custodies, trades and settles assets for the world’s leading financial institutions, like PayPal, Venmo, Mastercard and Interactive Brokers.

About the team

The Strategic Finance team at Paxos plays a critical role in supporting the company's mission by providing financial expertise and strategic guidance for product development and go-to-market initiatives. This team is responsible for developing and executing financial plans to ensure the successful launch and growth of Paxos' products and services in a rapidly evolving industry. The team helps support the business by developing financial models, pricing strategies, budget allocations, performance tracking, etc. to ensure that Paxos' products and services are financially viable, compliant, and competitive. Their efforts help Paxos drive innovation, expand market reach, and ultimately achieve its mission of building a more open and inclusive financial system.

About the role

Your role in GTM Finance will be crucial for aligning financial goals with broader business objectives, ensuring that the company's go-to-market strategies are financially effective and sustainable. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing and product to integrate financial considerations into every stage of the go-to-market process. This role is expected to significantly impact the company's success by measuring pipeline financials and quantifying deal economics, aligning them with broader business objectives. By providing data-driven insights and recommendations, this role will enable the business to make informed decisions that drive growth and profitability.

What you’ll do

  • Own monthly reporting, quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting for Sales and Marketing, and become a strategic partner to the team.
  • Partner with the Sales/Growth team to track the sales funnel and enhance/operationalize reporting, metrics and deal flow economics; support weekly pipeline reviews by building and maintaining deal models to quantify potential revenue impact.
  • Develop and manage sales compensation plans across the GTM organization that drive long-term growth.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of go-to-market strategies and provide actionable insights (along with dashboards) to optimize performance over time.
  • Manage OpEx and keep a clear accounting of the group's spending with the leadership team. Assist with expense requests and shepherd the team through the procurement/vendor management process while analyzing and optimizing spend.
  • Craft a unit economics framework to assess investment in paid marketing initiatives, and track ROI throughout the sales funnel; develop a customer LTV analysis.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses and deep dives into strategic issues to improve the collective understanding of risks and opportunities related to the business.

About you

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn complex new technologies and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to “parachute in” to new situations and drive analyses in ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent financial modeling and program management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort working in a tech-driven environment with the ability to coordinate across several stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to “roll up sleeves” and dig  deep into the business analytics, understanding details while managing executive-level communication.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with GTM/product key stakeholders as a strategic partner.

Pay and benefits

Paxos offers a competitive total compensation and benefits package, including equity. Actual salary within that range is dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience and qualifications.

Expected range for the salary component for candidates located within the United States is:

$130,050—$181,500 USD
