Strategic Finance Lead

📍Location: Brooklyn, NY (On-Site)

As a core member of the Strategy & Finance team, the Strategic Finance Lead is a unique role, reporting directly to the Co-Founder/CFO to help navigate the complex challenges of scaling the business. You will help solve the company’s most critical and hardest problems and provide a financial framework to assess strategic tradeoffs of key decisions that will drive near-term impact and long-term success. 

You will also be responsible for developing and owning the company’s financial model and developing financial and business targets and milestones. You will partner with cross-functional partners to identify financial risks and opportunities and translate insights into actionable next steps, directionally contributing to the achievement of the company’s next financial milestones.

You will:

• Own the company's long-range financial model, directing strategic decisions with profound analytical insight and strategic foresight
• Develop financial models to support ROI-based decision-making, clearly communicating the financial implications of key business decisions to the executive leadership
• Lead scenario planning to evaluate strategic options, present actionable recommendations to the leadership team, and accelerate informed decision-making
• Dissect complex business decisions, proactively identify financial risks and opportunities, offering strategic financial perspectives and thought partnership, working in tandem with leadership to develop actionable recommendations

You are:

• An expert financial modeler with 5-7 years work experience in roles across Strategic Finance, Business Operations, IB/PE. MBA and/or CFA strongly preferred.
• Scrappy and entrepreneurial who can thrive in a fast paced environment. You don't hesitate to get in the weeds and operate at the lowest level of detail, but you're just as comfortable thinking long-term
• Deep understanding of consumer product, last-mile logistics and/or e-commerce business models
• A strong analytical thinker and communicator who can explain complex concepts and analysis to non-financial audiences
• Self-motivated individual who is results oriented without losing sight of the big picture
• Excited to work closely and collaboratively with a small but mighty team
• Passionate about sustainability and motivated by the opportunity to help solve one of our generation’s most consequential problems
