About the Role
Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies. We're looking for a Strategic Finance Lead to focus on process optimization and financial analytics. This role will serve as a key partner across our Finance team and requires a well-rounded individual who has demonstrated the ability to deliver results in a high-growth, dynamic, and fast-paced environment. You are versatile, analytical, motivated, creative, intellectually curious, a strong communicator and collaborator. In this role, you will drive value and empower decision making through data, reporting, and analyses that impact Fivetran's success as a company. Working closely with finance leadership, this role will create greater efficiencies by automating and streamlining core processes and deliverables.
This is a full-time position based out of our Denver or Oakland office; We are also open to folks being fully remote in the US.
What You'll Do

• Partner closely with finance leadership to identify areas of opportunity to streamline and automate existing workflows and processes
• Assess the financial viability of new initiatives and design KPIs to understand their success
• Work closely with the analytics, accounting and other departments to drive the process, data collection and reporting across the organization
• Utilize sql, python, or other technologies to reduce manual workloads and create greater efficiency across existing processes
• Develop and evolve ROI frameworks around pricing, business unit efficiency, program investments, and broader company initiatives
• Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and communicate and present results of analysis across various levels of management
• Participate actively in financial due diligence process

Skills We're Looking For

• Experience in analytical roles (Strategy, Finance, Analytics, Business Operations, Management Consulting)
• Expert proficiency in financial modeling, SQL, Python, and analyzing complex and large data sets
• Ability to embrace ambiguity and break down complex problems to provide clear and effective recommendations
• Outstanding presentation and communication skills
• Track-record of collaborating with cross-functional partners to lead transformation and growth
• Excellent proficiency with accounting and corporate finance including topics such as billing, revenue recognition, fx, capitalization, accruals, amortization, and multinational entity consolidation
• Experience with ERP and corporate financial planning tools
