As Learneo continues to scale, it is imperative that we have the infrastructure in place to help us make the most informed and strategic decisions regarding our corporate development and capital allocation decisions. As such, we are expanding the capabilities of our Strategic Finance function and are excited to add a seasoned Manager to the team. The Strategic Finance Manager will report to the Sr. Director of Strategic Finance and work closely with leaders from across Learneo and the various business lines, conducting in-depth financial and valuation analyses and providing valuable insight into acquisition and investment opportunities. This is a highly impactful and visible role within the company, and requires someone whose interpersonal skills are just as strong as their analytical abilities.Â

Here are some ways you’ll make an impact:
Create detailed operating and valuation models for evaluation of potential acquisition and investment opportunities across our lines of businesses (Study Platform, Writing, Math, Reading)
Assist various stakeholders in business (strategic) and financial diligence of potential acquisition and investment opportunities
Support the strategic long term planning process for Learneo’s businesses
Conduct market sizing for addressable markets of our lines of businesses and other opportunities to create new verticals
Monitor competitive landscape for strategic acquisitions, organic initiatives and other relevant updates
Deliver regular market updates to the senior leadership team including public market valuations, earnings overviews, market performance, and strategic announcements
Provide support for all future capital raising-related activities (incl. debt and equity) and capital allocation decisions
Support the quarterly 409A valuation process
Handle ad-hoc projects as assigned by the senior leadership team
Are you our Strategic Finance Manager?Â
5+ years of full-time work experience including time spent in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance and/or FP&A
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
Experience building and analyzing sophisticated financial models with a high degree of proficiency in ExcelÂ
Ability to synthesize analyses and present findings clearly and concisely to senior executivesÂ
Experience working collaboratively across FP&A and Accounting functions, including understanding and application of US GAAP accounting principles
Comfortable with ambiguity and able to make recommendations with incomplete information
Excellent interpersonal skills with an agile and collaborative approach to problem solving
Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse and global group of partners and stakeholdersÂ
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accountability to drive work forward in a fast-paced and remote environment
Demonstrate high levels of integrity, business ethics, and commitment to excellence in your work productÂ

Knowledge of education and/or technology sectors
Prior experience in a high growth technology company, with edtech experience an additional plus Â
First hand exposure to very early stage / seed stage start-ups

We are a virtual-first company and have employees dispersed throughout the United States and Canada. We have a market-based pay structure that varies by location. The base pay for this position is dependent on multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed below. You may also be eligible to participate in our bonus program and may be offered an equity award, benefits, and other types of compensation.
In accordance with California law, the base salary for this role if filled within California is $140,000-190,000.Â
