This Strategic Functional Capability Senior Lead is responsible for collaboratively driving a Strategic Functional Capability team focused on delivering Business Partnership, Development, and Deployment for the global/cross segment Corporate Affairs function and other Associate Experience Capabilities . With a deep understanding of the Corporate Affairs Function, the Strategic Functional Capability Senior Lead should be forward thinking and offer new innovative solutions to ensure the business showcases a leading-edge Digital first approach. This role is responsible for a broad range of technology platforms and is accountable for putting them all together in a strategic way, driving effective and efficient experiences at Mars.

What are we looking for?

• 10+ years of progressive experience in business enabling technologies
• 5+ years' experience in defining and leading technology strategy, projects and change management activities for a global organization using diverse delivery methodologies and approaches (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
• Experience and passion to work in a fast-paced environment that delivers value to the business quickly
• Experience with high level of autonomy driving forward strategic/business change activities
• People leadership and talent development experience; including at least 5 years leading med/large teams with both direct and indirect line management

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Responsible for creation and deployment of Corporate Affairs IT strategy and functional area road maps - including the creation of new processes and introduction of new Digital capabilities aligned with internal and external best practices and emerging trends.

• Responsible for the oversight of the Mars.com product team.
• Develop deep functional domain expertise - build and sustain a center of expertise solutions, defining and documenting global standards, processes, and common solutions across the enterprise.
• Deliver enhanced application capabilities through strategic partners.
• Partners with functional BPO to develop process & IT capabilities which are aligned with functional & segment strategies, engaging functional Business Partnership and utilizing development, deployment and core services resources as appropriate.
• Identify opportunities to establish programs that develop and/or deploy new global capabilities.
• Lead and role model Design Thinking approach to iterative problem solving - Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test.
• Govern the scope of the existing Corporate Affairs functional area portfolio of applications throughout the application lifecycle.

• Oversees the build and delivery of business applications and ensures successful support handover to Core Services (Service Introduction).
• Exhibit resourcefulness in confirming IT solution architecture by leveraging external partnerships to confirm best in class emerging technologies as well as internal Mars Enterprise Architecture expertise.
• Development - Lead team driving forward system design, configuration, development, integration, and unit testing.
• Responsible for building and maintaining a high performing team - including direct line management of Technical Leadership associates.
• Approve, prepare, monitor, and adjust running and variable development budgets.
