Group Overview:

The Global Equity Team is responsible for the administration, operations, and reporting for the firm's equity-based compensation program. In partnership with the Global Compensation Management team, HR business partners and the business managers, the team helps determine equity-based compensation awards for professionals across the firm. We are responsible for managing the daily operations associated with managing the program and for paying distributions to unitholders in connection with the release of the firm's quarterly earnings. The team forecasts and records the equity-based comp expense and performs ad-hoc reporting associated with equity holdings and coordinates with Finance to deliver financial reporting on impact to Firm.

Job Title: Strategic Incentives Group - Global Equity, Associate

Job Description:

In this role, the Associate will be responsible for maintaining all accounting related duties associated with the firm's equity-based compensation plan. This includes the preparation of internal and external financial reporting and technical analysis to key stakeholders. This role will collaborate cross-functionally with the various teams in the Strategic Incentives Group, Finance, and SEC reporting. Responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrating a strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS accounting principles
  • Preparing and recording equity-based compensation entries to the firm's general ledger, including share amortization, dividend payments, and vesting entries
  • Ensure recorded compensation reconciles with firm financial statements
  • Assist with preparation of quarterly/annual footnote disclosures for 10Q/10K filings
  • Perform monthly variance analysis for commentary
  • Work with management on items related to equity-based compensation
  • Maintain the integrity of subledger data to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Provide reporting to foreign entities including graded vesting entries and statutory disclosures
  • Coordinate with Tax, Legal, Payroll, and Finance teams to provide participant level reporting
  • Maintain SOX compliant procedures and provide supporting documentation for audit control testing
  • Manage and assist in development of offshore resource

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 3+ years of public or financial services accounting
  • Demonstrated achievement in prior endeavors
  • Ability to partner across teams, summarize issues, develop recommendations, and execute solutions
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Experience with accounting software (Oracle preferred)

Expected annual base salary range:

$120,000 - $140,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
