Athena is looking for a Strategic Marketing and Special Events Senior Coordinator who has a passion for problem-solving, managing change, and improving efficiency. What you'll be responsible for:
- Formulating, organizing and monitoring inter-connected projects
- Deciding on suitable strategies and objectives
- Overseeing internal and external stakeholders across a variety of disciplines to ensure successful marketing and event outcomes
- Administering department finances, budgets, vendor communication, vendor contracts, budget reporting to clients and internal stakeholders
- Management of event technical needs, including but not limited to, ideation, collaborating with art and technical crews to brainstorming possibilities
- Utilizing prior experience and skills to develop a plan for the execution of the ideas
- Reviewing and editing projects real time as necessary to ensure an on time and within budget delivery
- Maintaining a ROS and conducting regular team calls to ensure all stakeholders remain aligned and understand individual responsibilities, tasks and deliverables
- Working with writers and creatives to produce any presentations, talking points, etc. required
- Contributing to on-site event activations, which may include travel
- High level analysis of campaign metrics and compilation of reporting for clients
- Coordinating with Social Media leads to ensure alignment on coverage where appropriate
Requirements

- Thorough understanding of project management techniques and methods
- Strong communicator with the ability to prioritize many different simultaneous tasks
- Excellent problem-solving ability
- Highly detail oriented and organized
- Self-motivated
- Creative and analytical thinker
- Capable of handling quantitative and technical duties
- Proficient in budget management and financial reporting
- Eye for design to implement the visual aspects of an event
- Strong multi-tasker overseeing many different tasks and collaborate with a wide range of teams
- Assertive and capable of directing others
- Ability to implement projects with little to no supervision
- Ability to work well with internal and external stakeholders
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint user
- Strong writing skills
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
- 3-5 years of professional experience
It's a plus if you have:
- Experience using time tracking and expense management software
- Proficient knowledge of Airtable
