Overview

As a Strategic Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for product marketing and business development activities focusing on magnetic position sensor Integrated Circuits (ICs) within Allegro's Magnetic Position Sensor Business Unit (MPSBU). You will work closely with Allegro design and systems engineers, field sales managers, and with industry leading customers to:

• Identify new market segments, develop specifications for new products required to penetrate these markets, and define Allegro's future magnetic position sensor product roadmap.

• Formulate business cases to support new product kick-off and present these business cases to senior management.

• Achieve corporate goals related to revenue & margin dollar growth, product kick-offs and release-to-market (RTM). In your role you will work on IC development activities from product concept through RTM. You will be a key contributor towards the achievement of overall development cycle time, revenue, and profit margin goals.

• Define & generate world class marketing collateral and sales tools required to support broad market promotion of our ICs, ultimately resulting in product design wins.

• Secure global design wins, manage quoting and customer forecast activities, and deliver long term revenue and margin growth for the MPSBU.

Our customer base is global and this position involves both domestic and international travel. Your travel schedule will vary from quarter to quarter, but on average our Strategic Marketing Managers travel up to 20% of the time typically.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a BSEE/MSEE or equivalent and have at least 5~10 years of experience in a similar marketing and business development role or 5~10 years in a systems or applications engineering role and a strong desire to move into a more commercially oriented role. A solid understanding of analog or digital electronics and the semiconductor development process is essential in this position. Additionally, an MBA or engineering management degree is preferred. The successful candidate will also possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. Candidates must possess the ability to make clear technical and business related presentations both to external customers and to Allegro's Senior Management Staff. Candidates must be able to understand complex technical information and communicate it to external customers at various levels of their organization (e.g. front-line engineers, purchasing, senior management, etc.) and in-house development teams.
