Strategic Operations Manager
Job Description
This position is responsible for supporting the execution of the US Specialty Distribution Group's (USDG) activities in support of the VP and GM, US Specialty Group to execute on commercial activities or projects, process improvements, to ensure effectiveness across USDG. The role functions as a facilitator between the VP and GM, and various businesses leads throughout USDG, NADG and corporate functions to support alignment of desired project, goal or strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a trusted advisor for USDG businesses by providing value-added strategic insight, counsel, and management support, including partnering to expedite solutions, resolutions, and decisions needed to enable more efficient cross-business workflows, progress issues, and bring business ideas together to advance USDG's commercial and operational objectives and effectiveness.
- Work behind scenes to foster alignment and effective collaboration between USDG businesses and partners, as well as with other internal and external constituents.
- Attending meetings on the executive leader's behalf, taking notes/actions, leading and implementing various projects across the business.
- Partners with USDG leadership to organize and prioritize key business plan initiatives that require project management to advance the business groups strategic priorities
- Partners with USDG leadership in setting up KPI's to measure impact of initiatives and assists in required updates on progress
- Collaborates closely with commercial and functional leaders as needed to drive progress on identified key initiatives
- Prepares and coordinates material and presentations for executive updates, including monthly business updates, quarterly presentations, town hall presentations, and various business unit meetings
- Prepares high impact material and presentations for USDG executive leaders
- Develops communication plan to promote engagement of critical topics relevant to the USDG team, IE town halls etc.
- Promotes and drives Team Schein values and culture
- Serves as a liaison for Team Schein Members and USDG Leadership
- Identifies and researches evolving trends and dynamics impacting USDG markets
- Leverages Lean Six Sigma methodologies where applicable to improve processes

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Typically 10 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience; 1 or more years of management experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus.
TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
The posted range for this position is $95,040 - $166,320, which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including education, prior experience, training, current skills, certifications, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a bonus not reflected in the posted range.
