Job Description

The Strategic Outreach Intern supports and participates in corporate partnerships and communications initiatives. This role entails conducting partner research, assisting with ticket administration and customer service, coordinating partner events, and compiling reports. Additionally, the intern aids in corporate communications efforts by conducting research, documenting procedures, and assisting with event planning and execution. This role also provides general administrative support, including materials assembly, notetaking, and supply organization. The intern will have opportunities for professional development through participation in various programs, trainings, meetings, and mentoring activities. This will be a semester long part-time position.

What you will do here:

Support corporate partnerships by conducting partner research, ticket administration, ticket customer service, coordination of partner event details and logistics, document department procedures and assemble partner reports.

Support corporate communications by conducting best practice research, document department procedures and assemble communication reports. Support corporate event planning and execution, primarily the quarterly food truck events and related logistics

Provide general administrative support to the Strategic Outreach team including, but not limited to, materials assembly, notetaking, email, phone calls, supply replenishment and organization, and other job duties as assigned

Participate in ongoing workforce and professional self-development including, but not limited to: observation/shadowing of various programs and initiatives, virtual and live trainings, attending meetings, coaching/mentoring, and other functions.

What you will need:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Currently enrolled in an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university. Preferred programs of study include business, marketing, or communications required.

1+ years of experience in a professional/business atmosphere or in a customer service role required.

Strong and creative problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail required.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.

Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative required.

Strong time management and organizational skills - ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment required.

Competency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint) preferred.
