Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in a business development environment, including experience with contracts or partner management.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with product teams to launch partner integrations and/or go-to-market strategies.


Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience working with ad measurement and/or digital attribution solutions.
  • Ability to act like an owner with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a high level of comfort escalating and presenting key issues to Google management when appropriate and being solution-oriented.
  • Excellent strategic thinker with outstanding problem-solving skills.

As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you have the unique opportunity to create long-lasting relationships with our most important advertising partners. You will source, nurture, and expand key strategic relationships to ensure that they drive continued success for Google, our partners, and our advertisers. Your knowledge of digital media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing businesses grow. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you will provide Google-caliber client service, research, and market analysis. You will anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google's key partners and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Legal, and Finance to implement impactful new partnerships and manage existing strategic relationships. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and industry players will help shape our advertising solutions for YouTube and DV360.

You are entrepreneurial by nature and you will independently drive critical projects from beginning to end, manage our most important partner relationships, and develop a strategic perspective on the latest industry trends and market opportunities. You will lead exploratory discussions with potential partners, and follow them through to execution via discussions of highly complex agreements.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google's Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google's own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google's user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Additional Information
(Colorado only*) Minimum full-time salary range between $107,000 - $115,000 bonus equity benefits. *Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product, Engineering, gTech, UX, and Legal to develop strategy and business plans for new ads measurement products and features.
  • Lead exploratory discussions with prospective partners on early product concepts.
  • Source, pitch, discuss, sign, and launch partners.
  • Project manage and execute several time-sensitive deals or initiatives in parallel, in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
  • Manage and optimize existing strategic partnerships and maintain operational excellence.
