Job Title: Strategic Partners Finance - Investment Operations, AVP
Job Description:
Strategic Partners is seeking to hire a manager for its Investment Operations team, which is focused on portfolio company analysis, performance analysis, document and data management, and investor and management reporting. This role collaborates closely with the Investment, Institutional Client Solutions, Middle Office, Global Fund Finance (i.e., fund accounting), Tax, Legal & Compliance and Technology teams, as necessary.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Manage multiple operations teams responsible for a variety of activities:
- Capturing, analyzing and reporting look-through portfolio company exposure and key performance drivers
- Calculating performance, analyzing key change drivers, preparing track records and ad hoc performance reports
- Collecting and archiving all investment-related documents and serving as a central point of contact for all underlying investment communications
- Managing reference data and ensuring strong data governance practices
- Coordinate and review bespoke investor reporting related to underlying investment and look-through portfolio company-level information
- Coordinate with Technology team to manage and enhance existing applications and evaluate and implement new applications
- Implement controls, enhancements and improvements to operational and reporting processes, procedures, offshore support resources, and use of technology
- Assist with various projects and ad hoc requests as needed
Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have:
- 6+ years of relevant work experience
- 3+ years of experience managing a team
- Strong understanding of private equity operations
- Alternative investment fund accounting experience and CPA preferred
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, high EQ, and ability to think critically and engage confidently and competently with various internal teams required
- Highly organized; exceptional project management skills; process-oriented
- Ability to plan, communicate, meet deadlines, and execute upon multiple projects concurrently
- Ability to work well as part of a small, tightly knit team as well as to build relationships across the firm
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word required

Expected annual base salary range:
$100,000 - $165,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
