With the advent of genomic sequencing, we can finally decode and process our genetic makeup. We now have more data than ever before but providers do not have the infrastructure or expertise to make sense of this data. We are on a mission to connect an entire ecosystem to redefine how genomic data is used in clinical settings. We are looking for a Strategic Partnership Lead to join our rapidly growing Business Operations Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage high priority customers for Tempus’ business, including presenting in executive meetings
  • Build strong and trusting relationships with key players at customers.  Be effective in pursuing work at varying levels within these clients, including up to leadership and C-level executives
  • Oversee personnel in charge of reporting, sample tracking, and other client requests 
  • Field requests from customers to our Product/Engineering teams ranging from user experience initiatives to technical requirements
  • Collaborate and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful attainment of customer goals and objectives
  • Continually analyze competitive landscape and environment within assigned accounts to determine trends and provide customer feedback to Tempus leadership
  • Own KPI measurement of customer retention, order completion rate, customer health, etc.
  • Demonstrate understanding of Tempus core products, workflows, and service offerings
  • Embrace, embody and represent the Tempus company culture at all times to external and internal constituents

Skills:

  • Expertise in health care with emphasis on molecular diagnostics, genomics, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or oncology
  • Ability to prioritize and align organizational goals and objectives
  • Ability to develop and utilize cross-functional relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals and objectives
  • Ability to work independently, communicate proactively, manage multiple projects and prioritize daily tasks while managing critical deadlines
  • Comfortable presenting to stakeholders at the executive level (CEO, COO, CFO)
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office products – particularly Excel and PowerPoint

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in a Science or Business discipline; Advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD or Healthcare certification) a plus
  • 6+ years of client facing experience, including: business development, alliance management, and/or consulting or other similar roles
