Strategic Partnerships Account Manager

What We’re Looking For:
Strategic Partnerships Account Managers are responsible for building a network of employer partners who will become champions of 2U-powered programs and managing relationships with current partners. Employer Partners include companies such as: Nationwide, Deloitte, Bank of America, and Microsoft. Account Managers will be responsible for prospecting companies with immediate and long-term talent acquisition needs into our network, then maintaining, nurturing, and growing these partnerships through close account management and ongoing engagement strategies. You will also coordinate opportunities for these companies to interact with our students, including hosting online recruiting events, participating in panel discussions, and more.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Partnership Relationship Management
- Grow and maintain employer relationships through tactical, comprehensive account management by taking a consultative approach to investigate their recruiting needs; continuously uncover new opportunities. Uncover new opportunities to pilot new programs or initiatives.
- 2U is sought out by employers who are looking to diversify their talent network through various DEI initiatives. Account Managers use a data informed approach to ensure employer partners are presented with a pipeline of diverse talent.
- Become a thought partner with employer partners by sharing feedback, new market trends and helping the employer stay up to date with new talentÂ
- Nurture partners through various stages of engagement to build long-term, impactful relationships that position 2U as a leading nontraditional global talent source.
- Business Development
- Uncover new strategies and opportunities to engage globally with employers across various markets and industries.
- Collaboration with other business development teams to find partners that align with 2U business initiatives.
- Specializes to work across product lines to support larger company initiatives.Â
- Continuous business development through assorted methods such as LinkedIn, utilizing tools such as Outreach.io to build a pipeline of highly engaged employer partners.
- Talent Pipeline Management
- Source potential job seeking candidates through various Salesforce reports and send out weekly qualified roles to our job-seeking students. Create and execute search strategies across a variety of markets and programs.Â
- Develop customized talent sourcing and recruitment strategies for key partners globally. Monitor applicant eligibility for positions. Track how applicants are engaging with open positions. Ensuring that job opportunities are aligned with programs they have completed. Provide quality control over the jobs available to ensure they align with students.
- Data Management
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all activity in Salesforce CRM, Google Drive, and other platforms-- maintaining accurate CRM records, including accounts, contacts, job seekers applications, interviews and offer records. Manage and maintain roles on WordPress job board.
- Apply sound methods of organization to effectively and efficiently manage work and timelines (e.g., checklists, google calendar).
Things That Should Be In Your Background:
- 5+ years of experience in recruiting, business development, sales, or relationship management is required.
- Passion for making the world a better place through skills-based education.Â
- Possesses an innate ability to connect with people that energizes them to push forward, even when encountering obstacles or pushback.
- Expert in outreach, business development, and account management best practices. This might include pipeline management strategies, mastery of objection handling, and a track record of building excellent client relationships with a variety of professionals across various industries.Â
- A careful listener who can translate the needs of hiring managers into opportunities to partner with 2U Insights.Â
- Results-oriented and can own and deliver on a wide range of OKRs and KPIs.
- Excited about connecting and conversing with potential new employer partners. Creating clear task lists and always following up, never missing a beat, is second nature.Â
- Experience in the tech space previously and the ability to “talk tech” with peers, recruiters, and hiring managers.
- Excellent at developing and following processes, working under deadlines, and meeting delivery goals.
- Experience working with Salesforce CRM, Google Drive/Microsoft Office, and other collaboration tools.
- Organized and detail-oriented. Always up-to-date in documentation and record creation.
- Impeccable written and verbal communication skills.
- Expert in talent sourcing best practices. This might include talent pipeline management strategies, experience with technical recruiting, and a track record of supporting large companies in hiring at scale.
While this position is open to remote candidates across the U.S., we will prioritize those who live in the Washington-Baltimore metropolitan area and who are available to come into our Headquarters in Lanham, MD two days a week.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is ($65,000 -$75,000), with potential bonus eligibility. Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, budget for the position and cost of labor in the market in which the candidate will be hired.
