Strategic Partnerships Associate

Reporting into the Head of Strategic Partnerships, and as a member of the Strategy and Business Operations team at Carta, you will engage closely with internal partners across Strategy and Business Operations, Product, Engineering, Go-To-Market, and Delivery functions to help advance strategic prioritization and governance of key external strategic partners.

The team sits within the Office of the CEO, and assists our CEO and our executive team with crafting, scoping, and driving Carta’s vision as well as operationalizing key initiatives.

• Drive process and structural improvements to how Carta aggregates, reports, and leverages internal and third party data to make decisions and solve complex problems for Carta and our customers.
• Build relationships across business units, strategy and biz ops, and platform teams to support strategic partnership objectives
• Document, evangelize, and continually refine partner selection criteria across partner engagement opportunities to maximize business impact and reduce risk
• Support strategic partnership projects end to end 
• Draft and monitor partnerships to agreed KPIs

As a key initial hire in the Strategic Partnerships team, you will help build the team structure and process, and frame how partner decisions are made based on available data and insights. You will solve customer and partner problems, removing friction from equity-related workflows. You’ll incubate new concepts and see them to fruition, measuring value delivered through ecosystem integration.

• Demonstrate an understanding of Carta’s business and future growth opportunities

• Collaborate deeply and effectively across internal and external teams to achieve multidimensional business objectives

• 2-5 years of experience in business development, partner strategy, corporate development, or business operations at enterprise software, SaaS, financial services, and/or fintech

• Deep understanding of financial services and fintech opportunities to solve customer problems

• Strong analytical, modeling, and presentation skills

• Embrace a growth mindset, learning dynamically from internal and external partners as well as market conditions to support partner focus and prioritization

• Excellent communication skills
• Dream big, think creatively about solutions from a customer’s and partner’s perspective while staying grounded in business realities
