ADP is hiring a Strategic Planning Director in San Dimas, CA .

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the strategic agenda for the Tax Service team within the OneTax business, maximizing effectiveness and successfully executing upon transformational goals. This position reports directly to the VP GM of Tax Service.
The Strategic Planning Director leads complex initiatives and is responsible for defining, developing and deploying BU-wide Business Metrics and Insight to drive Productivity, Quality and Cycle Times. Uses operating metrics to identify trends and anticipate internal and/ or external business challenges and/ or regulatory issues, recommends process, product or service improvements. Will assist the VP GM define initiatives to improve standard work. Drives field readiness, enablement and adoption on initiatives. Viewed as a thought leader who uses Financial, Operational, Analytical, Process and Program Management skills and expertise. Interactions are at the Director, VP, DVP or GM level.
To thrive in this role, you must be comfortable being accountable for developing and leading the implementation of complex strategic plans that drive operational efficiency, field readiness, enablement and adoption ultimately resulting in improved client satisfaction, increased financial performance (including time to start, first year retention, implementation quality, client growth and improved productivity and revenue /NOI goals) and increased associate engagement and productivity . Establishes and reports on key business metrics, ensures a consistent and comprehensive education approach across the business to associates, sales, and relationship management. Monitors NPS trends and executes upon key client retention strategies.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the strategic agenda for the Tax Service team within the OneTax business, maximizing effectiveness and successfully executing upon transformational goals. This position reports directly to the VP GM of Tax Service.
- Be flexible and adapt to the needs of the team, from conducting high-level strategy to driving day to day execution with your project team(s) and work effectively in a matrix organization.
- Need to have a good understanding of how a technology company works, you will constantly be thinking about innovative ways to apply modern technologies in the business world.
- Proactively communicate strategies and take the necessary actions to maximize business impact; continuously evaluating the performance against business goals.
- Build and cultivate relationships with business partners and key stakeholders across ADP, external vendors and clients as needed to align on go-to-market, operating model, and product strategy to meet goals and objectives (OKRs).

What you'll do: Responsibilities
What you can expect on a typical day:
- Service Excellence. You will help to design and execute the strategies to increase our quality, effiency and sustainability of Tax Service. These opporutnities includes process, GPT development and training.
- Associate Engagement. As part of strategizing and pressure-testing our Tax Service designs, you will keep in mind how to promote associate engagement and satisfaction. How do we make work great and satisfying at the same time?
- Client Satisfaction. NPS, advocacy and other metrics of client satisfaction are key. How do we design our Tax Service to maximize client satisfaction that lead to NPS, retention and sales?
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Requirements
- At least twelve years of experience in a service or operational leadership role.
- Experience in matrix management environment.
A college degree is great but not required. What's more important is having the skills to do the job. Other acceptable experiences could include:
- Experience noted above, OR
- Military experience where skills including teamwork, adaptability, organization, and follow-through will help you build team and client relationships, identify solutions, and achieve success.
Bonus points for these: Preferred Qualifications
- Lean, Six Sigma or similar experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in a related capacity in a high-performance service environment that has consistently demonstrated World Class Service comparable to ADP's mission with significant measurable results.
- In addition, the associate should have a working knowledge of industry leading practices in the disciplines of Human Capital Management. (Payroll, Tax, Human Resources, Time, Benefits, Recruiting and Talent Management).
- Change management experience.
- Results oriented, works to achieve the highest levels of personal and organizational performance in order to exceed business goals.
- Client Focus, understands the perspective of the client and takes actions to integrate their needs
- Problem Analysis/Resolution, Gathers information necessary to make decisions, anticipates, identifies, resolves problems in a timely manner; knows and uses available resources.
