As the Strategic Portfolio Director at Zayo, you will play a pivotal role in strategically managing our project portfolio to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and the optimization of returns. Leveraging your expertise in portfolio management, you will oversee the identification of high-return opportunities, monitor project performance, and continuously enhance our portfolio management processes. Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Formulate, orchestrate, and refine a visionary portfolio management strategy that resonates with Zayo's overarching objectives.
• Portfolio Optimization: Conduct rigorous evaluations of portfolio performance, harnessing insights to refine resource deployment and capitalize on enhancement avenues.
• Risk Governance: Spearhead portfolio-wide risk assessments, safeguarding alignment with Zayo's strategic imperatives and risk appetite.
• Complex Program Leadership: Lead Navigate and steward programs within the portfolio that are marked by notable risk and intricacy, harnessing your adeptness in complex problem-solving, risk mitigation, and advanced strategy formulation to drive these high-stake initiatives to fruition.
• Resource Stewardship: Strategically marshal resources, be it manpower, finances, or technology, ensuring their judicious allocation for portfolio excellence.
• C-Level Collaboration: Partner with executive leadership to prioritize and infuse projects into the portfolio, balancing strategic aspirations with operational realities.
• Operational Excellence: Champion the adoption of industry-leading portfolio management practices, streamlining processes for efficacy and agility.
• Executive Reporting: Design and curate top-tier portfolio analytics, dashboards, and scorecards for executive perusal and decision-making.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly liaise with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency, alignment, and trust in portfolio decisions.
• Innovation & Trends: Remain attuned to disruptive technologies and industry shifts, integrating potential innovations to bolster Zayo's digital frontier.
• Vendor Governance: Lead strategic engagements with external partners, ensuring project synergies and optimum performance outcomes.
• Talent Development: Foresee and cater to the portfolio's talent needs, fostering skills augmentation, targeted training, and strategic hiring.
• Compliance & Regulatory: Ensure all portfolio endeavors comply with pertinent regulatory mandates and uphold Zayo's commitment to ethical operations.

Qualifications

• Academic & Experience: Bachelor's degree or its equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of sophisticated portfolio management experience or 14 years of direct related experience required. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
• Leadership Pedigree: Proven track record of spearheading portfolio strategies at an executive level.
• Strategic Acumen: Exceptional capacity for visionary thinking, coupled with the prowess to operationalize ideas.
• Financial Mastery: Deep-rooted understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Communication Excellence: Mastery in engaging a variety of stakeholders, from C-suite executives to operational teams.
• Technological Proficiency: Robust experience with platforms like Salesforce CRM and other pertinent enterprise tools.
• Performance Optimization: Demonstrable experience in leading portfolio enhancements and championing performance metrics.

Base pay range: $114,900- $180,620, commensurate with experience
