What will you be doing?
As the Strategic Pricing Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing internal data and executing a predefined pricing strategy for contractual opportunities for a portfolio of customers. You will collaborate with the Strategic Pricing Coordinator and cross-functionally with our Account Managers, Customer Sales Reps, Carrier Sales Reps, and Strategic Capacity team to optimize the pricing strategy and support MoLo's goal of delivering the best possible customer experience.
Main Responsibilities:
- Utilize pricing tools and market knowledge to execute the bid and volume-specific pricing strategy for all customer lanes in assigned portfolio
- Consult the Customer Sales Reps on the pricing strategy for each customer
- Actively communicate operational details that prevent optimal capacity to the Customer Sales team and Customer Operations team
- Work with Carrier Reps to understand all available capacity and operational needs while also creating solutions for underperforming lanes
- Provide adjusted and estimated to-the-truck costs at the time of final award to assist with the sign-off process and estimate profitability
- Analyze market trends for opportunities and drive communication internally regarding market trends
- Work with the Yield Execution Manager to ensure API rating tools are up to date
Requirements
What we're looking for:
- Minimum 2 years of third-party logistics truckload experience required
- Minimum 1 year of truckload pricing experience required
- Proven knowledge of truckload market trends and truckload pricing analysis experience
- Ability to successfully prioritize responsibilities
- Detail-oriented with the ability to succeed in a deadline-driven environment
- Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills
- Exhibit strong leadership skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Excel
- Bachelor's degree preferred
