Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Program Manager to lead and oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex process automation projects within our organization. The Program Manager will play a critical role in coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, budgets, and resources, and ensuring the implementation of cutting-edge automation solutions that enhance operational efficiency and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and strategy for implementing process automation solutions. Develop comprehensive project plans, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Lead multidisciplinary teams including engineers, technicians, developers, and subject matter experts to ensure seamless communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Budget and Resource Management: Monitor project budgets, allocate resources effectively, and ensure optimal utilization of manpower, technology, and equipment to meet project milestones and financial targets.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and proactively develop contingency plans. Monitor and address any deviations from the project plan to minimize disruptions and ensure project success.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Engage with vendors, clients, and key stakeholders to establish strong working relationships, address concerns, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project progress, quality, and adherence to timelines. Provide regular status updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that process automation solutions meet industry standards, safety regulations, and quality benchmarks. Implement best practices in design, testing, and deployment.
- Change Management: Develop and execute change management strategies to facilitate the adoption of new process automation technologies and methodologies within the organization.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency enhancement, and innovation in process automation projects. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximize project outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree is mandatory.
- Proven experience (20+ years) in program management within the process automation or industrial automation industry.
- Strong understanding of process automation technologies, control systems, SCADA, PLC, DCS, and related software platforms.
- Project management certifications (PMP, PgMP)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in project management tools and software.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of market trends in process automation.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving industry landscape.
- 50% travel time availability.
