We are seeking a Program Manager preferably with demonstrated product development and marketing experience that showcases an understanding of how to engage customers and evaluate programs.
Job Title: Strategic Program Manager - EV Charging
Duration: 5+ months
Location : Portland, OR
Local: Hybrid/Onsite once/twice per week
Note: expect travel to various sites where charging is installed
Key Skills : C2M, Coupa, Maximo, Excel, Word; EV infrastructure customer-facing program experience; plus, background in marketing, finance and accounting principles relatable to utility program implementations is desired.
Job Description:
This role offers creative, business savvy, customer-minded individuals the opportunity to develop Transportation Electrification products and services to delight customers while helping achieve our client's strategic objectives and priorities. Products could include demand response programs, web tools, payment options, pricing plans, technology offerings (electric vehicle infrastructure), etc.
This individual will be working with multiple departments and external parties to support a program going to market in July 2023 as well as working with various departments and vendors to determine the right strategy for public and workplace charging. A couple times a month, this individual may travel to various sites where charging is installed. There will be a lot of meetings to coordinate the work internally and externally along with responding to emails to communicate next steps.
Learn who people are and start working with internal teams on communicating with public entities. Also starting to learn more about charging vendors and the types of functionalities available.
Team size is 16 and this role needs a lot of interaction with team members and some interaction with the hiring manager.
Job Duties:
- Develop pilot and project plans to implement a new product for commercial and multi-family dwelling customers.
- Project manages the development of assigned new products and services, coordinating stakeholders in the development of the new product or service offering.
- Assemble project teams to assist in the development of the pole charging program and assemble another project team to assist in developing the recommendation and implementation plan, including marketing, training, and post-launch resource plans for public and workplace programs.
- Adhere to Client's project and product development methodologies for governance, measurement, and evaluation.
- Lead RFP process on assigned projects as needed.
- Manage relationships and performance contracts with vendors.
- Develop and effectively manage program development budgets, review and report on program revenue and expenses monthly.
- Prepare presentations and related communications for executives and external audiences.
- Typically, 5-7 years of professional experience with a four-year degree in business, economics, marketing, communications or similar field. Utilities experience not required.
- Excellent communication skills to write concise reports, deliver high quality presentations, negotiate contracts, facilitate meetings, deliver presentations and prepare project documentation.
- Knowledge of EV charging (nice-to-have)
- Clear, concise, diplomatic communication & customer service skills
- Ability to learn technical concepts and utilize to build a long-term strategy.
- Organized to deliver outcomes in a timely manner.
- Able to lead groups while driving to outcomes.
Experience Required: 5-7 years professional experience.
Education Required: four-year degree in business, economics, marketing, communications, or similar field.
