About This Job

The main purpose of this job is to provide leadership and help carry out the vision and strategic direction of bank-wide talent pipeline programs. This role will focus on developing, coordinating and executing talent programs designated to be key initiatives for the company. These programs will identify and develop talent for roles throughout the entire organization.

Essential Functions

  • Create and maintain a strategic plan for bank-wide campus recruiting that ensures a consistent brand and provide coordination of outreach efforts. Develop relationships with on-campus organizations that can share insight into top talent.

    • Partner closely with Early Career Talent Strategist regarding recruitment of college graduates, interns, and diverse talent
    • Work with Early Career Talent Strategist to ensure proactive engagement with students through Phenom
    • Collaborate with Employment Brand Strategist to leverage branding opportunities
    • Partner with LOB leaders to understand their talent needs for the future; ensure maximization of early career talent pipeline and proactively secure new hires.
    • Strategize with bank leadership, DEI and community markets on joint campus initiatives and sponsorship opportunities
  • Oversee the Campus Advocate program and strategy; identify team members to participate and ensure a unified bank presence on campus
  • As Talent Management's primary point of contact for Ascend (Bank training program), provide coaching for trainee engagement and career progression, provide guidance and refinement of recruiting processes, influence hiring decisions, and encourage diverse participation. Share program decisions with Talent Management partners to align efforts. Ensure trainees' experience while in the program is as expected.
  • Partner with and share insights, best practices and talent pipeline strategies with other early career programs throughout the Bank by partnering with leadership
  • Create and maintain the Bank's Intern program strategy which includes recruitment strategies, onboarding, program logistics, intern agenda, placement opportunities and communications. Partner with others in Talent Management to ensure a consistent experience.
  • Establish High School Impact Mentoring program strategy and execute program with University Academy. Assist other markets/companies as needed with new, related initiatives.
  • Maintain and partner with Talent Management to facilitate usage of the Talent Acceleration Program framework focused on diverse talent.
  • Provide insights on early career trends and innovative recruiting techniques to ensure competitiveness in hiring
  • Leverage data analytics to assess success of programs, measure and track program outcomes and create dashboard for reporting purposes
  • Proactively influence change and the adoption of new ideas
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, organizational design, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master's degree preferred.
  • 4+ years related strategic human resources experience required

The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable differentials (geographic, bilingual, or shift) that could be associated with the position or where it is filled. At Commerce, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $88,000 to $104,000 annually.
