Who You'll Work With:

We are seeking a Strategic Sales Manager (Internal Sales Desk) to join our US Retail sales team in Nashville, TN.

What You'll Do:

This position is responsible for the sales leadership, management, and professional development of a team of internal sales professionals (Regional Consultants) within an assigned division. This highly valued team member will help drive business results through coaching and training on best sales practices including client engagement, product mastery, competitive positioning, presentation skills, closing techniques, leveraging data and technology, sales development; ultimately, ensuring our team is capable of delivering AB's robust, leading-edge resources and capabilities in the most impactful and effective manner to our clients.

Specific Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

  • Developing Regional Consultants for current and future business needs based on ever-evolving market and industry changes to meet rapidly changing client needs
  • Providing coaching and development of Regional Consultants on product knowledge, selling and consulting skills, strategic initiatives, and overall performance to maximize sales effectiveness
  • Conducting regular team and individual meetings; reporting on and analyzing goals and objectives; ensuring clarity of expectations and performance for each relative to their results, business plan and firm initiatives.
  • Ensuring Regional Sales Consultants are maximizing the partnership with their assigned Regional Manager(s) to achieve common territory goals, via communication, collaboration, and execution.
  • Guiding team to strategically identify and maximize opportunities, supporting team in analyzing and resolving client issues and developing solutions.
  • Collaborating with sales leadership on sales strategy, firm and division-wide initiatives, and sales team alignment
  • Working closely with and having strong knowledge of the various teams across the organization including Product, Marketing, Compliance, Business Intelligence and Strategic Relations (National Accounts)
  • Recruiting top talent to AllianceBernstein

What We're Looking For:

  • 7+ years of Financial Services sales experience
  • Management experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills; attention to detail
  • Being adept at analyzing data to drive engagement and outcomes
  • Ability to generate both strategic and tactical ideas for overall sales desk improvement
  • Ability to think strategically, see the big picture and understand downstream impacts
  • Proven decision-making skills and sound business judgment
  • Being collaborative and open to other viewpoints
  • Demonstrating agility and innovation when faced with complexity and/or adversity
  • Proficiency in of Microsoft Office with the ability to learn other sales enablement tools; CRM experience is preferred

Required Skills

  • Series 7 and 63 licenses
  • Have or obtain Series 24 within first 180 days of employment
