Dropbox Strategic Sourcing team is seeking a Sourcing Analyst to support our software and non-tech renewals across various verticals . The primary function of this role is to assist in and or drive contract negotiations from start to finish. This role will report into the Strategic Sourcing Manager and will be part of our renewal Deal Desk. This is a great opportunity for you to get exposure to different departments, products, and services at Dropbox. This role is excellent for someone with at least 2-3 years of related tech or non-tech sourcing work experience. You should be a self-motivated and result driven individual who has a strong analytical background in order to optimize complex projects. Additionally, the candidate is expected to be a strong communicator and influencer, with the ability to concisely and effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders. Our procurement team is filled with creative out-of-the-box thinkers and you should be too! As a sourcing analyst you will become a person of many hats; negotiator, actor, analyst, mediator, project manager etc.
Responsibilities
- Collect data necessary to run successful sourcing events, such as spend data, stakeholder requirements, stakeholder budget, supply base, supplier financials, market dynamics and trends, and other data specific to each project
- Conduct analysis on data to help stakeholders understand cost models, savings forecasts, pricing and qualitative proposals, and other data specific to each project
- Review contractual and non-contractual documents
- Partner with the Finance team to calculate overall project cost/savings
- Work cross functionally with Legal, Risk and Compliance to execute agreementsÂ
- Assist in the development of RFx such as Requests For Information (RFIs), Request For Proposals (RFPs), Request For Bids and all accompanying documents
- Assist in the preparation of the negotiation strategy and documents used in supplier meetings
- Manage updates to savings and other trackers
- Support the Sourcing Manager in establishing a high functioning, best-in-class Deal Desk for driving impact and delivering savings
RequirementsÂ
- High level of interest in Technology, procurement and sourcing Â
- Able to navigate ambiguity and remain resilient through ups and downs
- Financial acumen and experience or experience working closely with Finance and Accounting
- Experience working in a metrics-driven or data-driven environment
- Ability to provide insight for data and reporting
- Detailed oriented and process driven
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- A very high level of self-motivation, initiative, passion, excitement to work cross-functionally and excellent interpersonal skills are a MUST have for this role!
- 2-3 years of experience of direct IT sourcing or related field experience
Total Rewards
For candidates hired in Colorado, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is $68,300 - $80,300 - $92,300.
This salary/OTE range represents the low, middle, and high end of the salary or OTE (Sales roles) range for this position, and is subject to change. To determine a Dropboxer’s starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. This position may be considered a promotional opportunity.Â
Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
