Position Summary:

The Strategic Sourcing Lead will be responsible for developing, executing, and managing the sourcing

strategy and tactical plans for spend categories. Products managed by this position are those identified as

strategic, business critical, and/or having significant leverage opportunity. Our Strategic Sourcing Lead will

spearhead the purchasing process from selecting suppliers to providing guidance on sourcing and

procurement processes. This person will be a supply chain and logistics expert who will specialize in

implementing cost-effective purchases of all goods and services, as required by the company.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: • Responsible for strategizing and negotiating with suppliers and vendors to acquire the best

value/most cost-effective deals• Support client proposal/bid efforts with subcontractor/vendor related activity• Complete the collection, analysis, and reporting of sourcing spend and savings data monthly• Collaborate with the business to define category needs and specifications• Conduct the development of sourcing strategies, as well as research, bidding, selection, and

contract negotiations• Review existing contracts with suppliers/vendors to ensure on-going feasibility• Maintain a good balance of strategic and tactical skills while ensuring we meet our corporate

goals• Recognize and expose risks associated with each project activity, along with the potential impact

each risk carries at a financial and business operation level• Assist in additional projects as required

Requirements

Supervisory Responsibilities: • Not applicable at this time

Education and/or Experience: • Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain or related field• MBA is a plus• 4+ years professional experience in strategic sourcing• Demonstrated experience leading or playing a key role in deal processes from concept to

completion, including the ability to negotiate and execute entire transactions or elements of a

value-enhancing transaction• Health care industry experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and

conduct• Ability to perform value analysis and total cost of ownership analytical activities• Strong contract negotiation and conflict resolution skills• Successful experience balancing multiple acquisition timelines simultaneously for practice

acquisition that range in size• Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a strong but diplomatic presence• Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills including negotiation and conflict

resolution• Ability to work well under pressure, anticipate needs and challenges, and respond to changing

demands• Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office programs
