Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Sourcing Manager, the Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies aligned with functional leaders and category plans across Indirect/Direct Procurement. Responsibilities include: identifying opportunities that focus on total cost of ownership savings from Suppliers; managing supplier negotiations/contracts to mitigate risk and optimize opportunities; and measuring supplier performance on an ongoing basis.

Essential Tasks

• Develop negotiation strategies that deliver value aligned with business objectives.
• Prepare and execute RFQs, contract negotiations, and supplier recommendations to Executive management.
• Identify sourcing projects and spend patterns to identify total cost savings and balance sheet opportunities.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance. Drive necessary course of actions so that deliverables are met.

Qualifications

Professional Experience

• The ideal candidate for this position will be a high energy, strong, hands-on experienced sourcing manager, who engages actively and collaboratively with business leaders, suppliers, and internal teams throughout the organization and is able to establish credibility quickly
• Experience operating in a matrix organizational model
• Strong relationship building skills and the ability to operate with an open mind and navigate successfully in a constantly changing and fast-paced environment
• Solid Business acumen
• Strong negotiation skills, with a track record of "win-win" outcomes
• Strong communication and collaborative skills are essential in order to be successful at building support for changes in the sourcing process
• The ability to identify opportunities to enable and support the strategic direction of the business
• 8+ years experience in Strategic Sourcing/Procurement. Experience in the Heavy Duty truck industry a plus.

Computer Skills

• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, AS400, Windows components.

Education

• Must have a Bachelors Degree, MBA preferred

Travel

• Ability to travel 25% of the time is required.
