Strategic Sourcing Manager (ATL)
Job Description
The Strategic Sourcing Manager (Electrical) is responsible for developing, implementing, and refining Electrical equipment and services category and sourcing strategies in support of the enterprise. In addition, the Strategic Sourcing Manager (Electrical) will play a critical role in ensuring that each business segment achieves their objectives by applying a relentless focus on total cost of ownership with respect to the Electrical category, and by implementing effective and dynamic supplier management strategies as market conditions evolve.Β
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize data center electrical infrastructure system and equipment subject matter expertise to engage and partner with Development, Construction, and Facilities Management stakeholders to develop and optimize sourcing strategies in support of company and division objectives.
- Work with Development, Construction, and Facilities Management teams to develop a demand plan for Electrical equipment and Electrical equipment services, including technical requirements, volumes, timelines, and budgets.
- Stay abreast of market trends for each sub-category, utilizing market and supplier intelligence to develop supply risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Utilize appropriate tools, including Kraljic matrices, to establish sourcing and supplier management strategies for each critical Electrical sub-category.
- Develop and maintain an approved supplier list (ASL) for each strategic Electrical sub-category.
- Support site and project team procurement efforts by managing the RFQ and RFI processes for relevant goods or services.
- Assist Procurement team in the vendor contract execution process.
- Develop and implement tools and metrics to evaluate and monitor key category supplier performance.
- Assist in tactical procurement escalations, reconciliations, and reporting, as required.
- Establish strategic relationships with key category suppliers, using a hierarchical communication protocol, to enable access where required to deliver results.
- Promote continuous value improvement for each sub-category, maintaining a tenacious focus on total cost of ownership (quality, lead-time, service, and price).
- Maintain appropriate sourcing and supplier management records, by project and by vendor, and prepare reports for vendor performance reviews and internal strategic sourcing meetings.
- Perform general office duties relating to their responsibilities, including:
- Correspondence and filing
- Minutes of meetings
- Preparation of reports and documentation
- Updating of electronic records
- Vendor administration
- Issue escalation process and updates
- Interface with vendors, customers, executives, Facilities Management and Construction Services teams, leadership, and internal finance team to address and resolve any inquiries or issues
- Train staff as and when required
- All other work as assigned by T5 Procurement or Executive leadership
- Travel as required (~25%) to maintain internal stakeholder and key supplier relationships.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years of Strategic Sourcing or Category Management experience in support of data center construction with an emphasis on
- Electrical infrastructure systems and equipment, required
- Bachelorβs degree in Electrical Engineering, or Supply Chain Management, preferred
