Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Who You Are:

The role of the Strategic Sourcing Specialist will play a critical part in supporting the sourcing team by maintaining, evolving, and generating reports. They will also identify and execute on opportunities for improvement. They will work closely and proactively with internal representatives, and external where applicable. They will also support new product development efforts and contribute expertise to all projects and other activities where necessary.

What You're Good At:

• Providing proactive cost report analysis, projections, and evaluations for strategic sourcing improvements and opportunities related to raw materials.
• Managing and monitoring all ingredient commitments and their respective timing for re-assessment and re-contracting through Nutrabolt’s raw material usage tracker. Including new approval of materials through quality.
• Quarterly updates of commodity profiles and market analysis research reports.
• Creating and preparing for execution through Procurement leadership, legal, and external suppliers, raw material contractual addendums.
• Collecting, interpreting, and reporting on supply market intelligence and implications of finished good costs related to and derived from multiple industry indices.
• Preparing presentations and documents by delegating assignments to cross functional teams.
• In this role your goals and KPIs will be focused around:
  • Working closely with Strategic Sourcing, Production Planning & Purchasing, New Product Development, Finance and Quality leaders.
  • Implementation of strategies laid out by senior leadership to directly impact Nutrabolt’s AOP, including raw material providers alignment through QA/QC processes and procedures, and play an active role in resolution of crisis level issues tied to commodities if they arise

What You Contribute: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Finance preferred.
• 3+ years of experience or interactive exposure in a procurement/supply chain/sourcing/analytics role. 
• Proficient in Microsoft office; Advanced Excel knowledge preferred. 
• Experience in fast paced CPG environment is a plus.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with the ability to articulate and formulate a valid conclusion and recommendation.
• Strong financial acumen and understanding of supply chain & procurement processes and ability to recommend automation opportunities.
• Integrity in actions and decisions, always exhibiting the highest level of best in class ethical practices within procurement.
