Strategic Sourcing Specialist III - Remote

Position Purpose: Assist with the creation of sourcing strategies.

Primarily running RFP events for the professional services category

Lead pricing and contract negotiations, including strategy, technique and messaging while partnering with legal and internal stakeholders to ensure contract language is favorable and protects Centene's interest

Establish individual project strategies and strategies across categories to maximize value to our internal customers and Centene

Grow and maintain relationship with internal customers to identify business needs and develop scope of project

Prepare and present internal negotiation strategy and/or category strategy to leadership

Understand SS&P strategic sourcing process, internal customer needs and Centene goals; recommend process improvements and assists with implementation

Support business initiatives by engaging with internal business owners and suppliers, leading contract negotiations

Utilize market research along with RFI and RFP results to develop sourcing strategy, employing various techniques including eSourcing and face-to-face negotiations

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business or related field or equivalent experience; 5+ years of experience in project management or negotiations. Sourcing background and RFP experience preferred.
