Establishand drive procurement of material and services in alignment with businessLeadership for Honeywell Building Technology (HBT) business as perAnnual Operating Plan and Strategic Plan. In this role, you will be reportingto Honeywell Corporate Procurement/Mechanical Center of Excellence (COE) HBTfocused business partner team. This position is responsible for thedevelopment and execution of corporate xSBG category and supplier strategiesinto HBT business that enables supplier rationalization, supply continuity riskmitigation, and migration of spend to preferred suppliers while achievinglowest Total Cost for HBT, reduced Working capital via Negotiation planning andexecution, High Growth Region Sourcing, Value Engineering and Sole/ SingleSource elimination. You will lead supplier performance over $250Mof Mechanical (Plastics, Metals, Casting & Machining and Packaging) globalspend for HBT, building partnership and will ensure compliance with companybusiness policies and procedures, export/import regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Mechanical category strategies leveraging best-in-class suppliers, processes and products to enable a competitive advantage to HBT business
  • Partner with COE category sourcing partners and HBT cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and support of category strategy creation and execution
  • Consolidate fragmented HBT Mechanical global spend, reduce the use of non-strategic suppliers, and move the procurement activities upstream in the lifecycle of a solution in order to bring greater value to Honeywell
  • Execute the annual operating plan through year-over-year improvements in productivity, working capital, quality, delivery and supply continuity
  • Identify and select approved suppliers capable of providing solutions that meet established business requirements and follow the global commodity strategies
  • Engage in new product development to drive business award to preferred suppliers and support the launch schedule and target cost
  • Facilitate engagement across HBT business and functions to drive a singular approach to supplier management in assigned Mechanical commodity space
  • Negotiate and execute supply agreements with strategic suppliers to maximize benefit to Honeywell
  • Build strong technical solutions including new technology, VA/VE, CE product and cost improvements with supply base
  • Support the refresh of Mechanical COEs and HBT sourcing AOPs and strategic plans
  • Drive world-class performance from supply base
  • Work with Category COE and HBT sourcing and procurement teams to achieve lowest total cost, continuous quality improvement, and on-time delivery
  • Work with global commodity leaders to assure a coordinated commodity strategy exists across the enterprise around the world
  • Ensure global policycompliance

INCLUDES:

  • Leverage Mechanical spend (volume) across Honeywell HBT to drive year-over-year savings
  • Drive supplier rationalization to preferred / best-in-class suppliers, lead supplier business reviews and manage supplier relationship
  • Complete and manage supplier contracts and multi-year agreements
  • Optimize working capital for the organization
  • Secure supply by partnering with suppliers and SBG stakeholders to support demand and business growth
  • Improve overall operational service levels to the business

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, or Business
  • At least 10 years of work experience in strategic sourcing and leading successful supplier negotiations
  • Experience in sourcing Mechanical commodities including Plastics, Metals, Casting & Machining and Packaging
