The Strategy Analyst role within Rockwell Automation's Strategy Organization provides support in identifying and evaluating growth opportunities, conducting research, formulating competitive analysis, and enabling all phases of strategic initiatives.

This job provides a unique opportunity to be in the center of the company's growth strategy as well as tremendous visibility to the leadership team. This job requires interaction with a diverse group of business and technology leaders to drive thought leadership.

This role reports to the Director, Corporate Strategy, and is ideally located in Milwaukee, WI.

What you will do

  • Curate internal and external data sources for strategic insights
  • Study new market segments, product areas, and technology capabilities
  • Analyze data and synthesize strategic perspectives on new market opportunities and critical risks
  • Propose, design, and evaluate change initiatives
  • Build financial models, develop business cases, and project charters
  • Facilitate work streams engaging cross-functional participants
  • Prepare high-impact executive-ready presentation materials
  • Provide support to strategic planning process

Basic Qualifications:

  • Education: B.S. or B.A. in Finance, Engineering, or a quantitative field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of related project experience
  • Experience building strong relationships with other business units and functional areas
  • Strong PowerPoint presentation and excel modeling skills
  • Superior analytical, quantitative and critical thinking skills
  • Motivated self-learner to continually expand knowledge scope
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and problem solve
  • Impeccable, exceptional attention to detail
  • Prior strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity or similar experience desirable
  • Experience in business development or corporate development a plus
