Job Summary

As a Project Manager for Comcast Advertising’s Strategy and Operations group, you are a key member of a team that is powering the future of TV Advertising, fueled by data, technology, and operational excellence. Leaders on this team are responsible for driving high profile projects that require tight coordination and communication across multiple stakeholders, both internal and external. An ideal candidate will quickly form relationships with stakeholders and become a trusted and accountable partner. You are proactive and extremely detailed oriented – creating and leveraging your project plan to drive progress, alignment and accountability. You view opportunities through both a financial and technical lens and can communicate your thoughts to various levels throughout the organization. When set-backs happen, you are solution-oriented with an eye towards a creative and sustainable solve. You apply process to make things clearer, simpler and more efficient. Job Description

  • Own the end-to-end project lifecycle: drive, track and help execute several key projects for Comcast Advertising
  • Work with key clients and executives (both internal and external) to scope, develop, execute & track project requirements, milestones, dependencies, risks and follow-ups/ actions. Work across cross-functional teams may include third party vendors and other resources
  • Develop meticulous documentation and corresponding project plans & trackers
  • Apply critical thinking to identify areas of opportunity and improvements
  • Anticipate resource needs based on project schedules and expected throughput
  • Ensure timely and effective cross-functional communication among stakeholders
  • Quickly escalate issues to other groups or departments where support is needed
  • Prioritize multiple projects and deliverables based on deadlines, financial return and level of effort
  • Maintain communication with stakeholders. Provides status reports to core team, vendors, stakeholders
  • Translate detailed project plans and deliverables into high-level updates for executive stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years as a Project Manager at an advertising / technical / media company or 4+ years in a consulting firm
  • Considerable experience working with technical and operational teams translating business goals into tangible and executable plans
  • Organized self-starter exceptionally skilled at prioritization and management of multiple deliverables, driving goals to completion under tight deadlines and thrives in a fast paced, ambiguous environment
  • A solid team player and independent thinker with the ability able to drive complex projects with limited oversight (yet asks for support when needed)
  • Familiarity/ deep interest in the TV Ecosystem and/ or Advertising sector
  • Adept at cross-functional collaboration and communication with peers, senior leadership and partners
  • Creative ability to approach and solve complex problems with hands-on, roll-up sleeves mentality
  • High energy required to maintain a sense of urgency throughout the entire project lifecycle, the ability to pivot and adapt quickly in a fast-paced constantly evolving project
  • Ability to establish trust of the organization while simultaneously setting the pace for all teams (technical and non-technical) involved through strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluency in project management, collaboration, and visualization tools including, but not limited to (JIRA, Aha, Zendesk, Wiki, Sharepoint, Lucidchart, Smartsheet, Office Suite – Powerpoint, Excel, Project, Visio)
  • Certification optional (CAPM/ PMP/ Other)
