Job Title: Strategy and Business Development Associate

Introduction:

The role of the Strategy and Business Development Associate is to support corporate-wide strategic initiatives that encompass cross-functional support of key solution partners as well as corporate strategy development and execution activities through industry and competitive research. This role will collaborate across business units to ensure that Toshiba products and services meet the demands of the marketplace

Basic qualifications

• 4+ years of work experience in market and competitive research
• Experience in conducting market opportunity and competitive assessments (Market Segmentation, Market sizing, Target Customers, Industry Trends/Drivers)
• Experience with competitive analysis methodologies (SWOT, competitor matrices, identifying key points of differentiation)
• Experience managing and consolidating information from multiple sources into easy-to-understand visual representations and summaries
• Strong investigative nature and analytical skills
• 4+ years of work experience in partner management and incorporation of partner offerings into a corporate solutions portfolio
• Ability to own and/or support multiple concurrent projects with attention to detail, accuracy, and visual quality of content
• Ability to develop business cases and analyze key financial metrics
• Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills
• Strong teamwork and desire to learn and enthusiasm for creating and evaluating new ideas and business solutions
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field; equivalent education/experience

Preferred Skills:

• MBA Preferred.

Responsibilities:

1. Leverage quantitative and qualitative data from internal and external data sources to create industry and competitive reports for an executive audience
2. Evaluate primary and secondary market research sources to provide consumer, retailer, and competitor insights for strategic planning purposes and for building compelling solution offerings for targeted markets
3. Collaborate across functions, including marketing, sales, and product teams to assist in market research and competitive intelligence assessments
4. Engage in thought leadership for internal and external presentations
5. Support partnership management activities, including partner assessments and incorporation of partner offerings into the corporate solutions portfolio
