Strategy & Innovation Internship
Job Description
We are looking for a strategic and innovative-thinking MBA candidate to join our creative, dynamic team to transform health care. The Strategy & Innovation Intern will be an integral part of a high-impact, Corporate Strategy and Innovation team that will lead strategy development, planning and innovation efforts to advance Cambia's Cause. This role is a great launching pad for those seeking to further develop their career in the healthcare space.
Remote within: Oregon, Washington, Idaho or Utah
The Strategy & Innovation Intern will perform the following duties:
- Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with leaders across the enterprise to support strategy efforts
- Research solutions, frameworks, and methodologies to address specific project needs
- Conduct external and internal research using primary and secondary sources to develop fact bases
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis such as external market sizing, competitive positioning, emerging trends, and business intelligence modeling
- Develop an understanding of the health insurance industry
- Communicate your ideas clearly and logically through written and oral communication
- Build effective working relationships with internal clients and colleagues
- Support and execute large, complicated projects with multiple stakeholders
- Help coordinate strategy and/or innovation discussions with senior leaders
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an MBA program
- Proven ability to think critically, analyze effectively, and communicate confidently
- Interest in strategy development, competitive strategy, disruptive technologies, and/or innovation trends preferred
- Prior experience with research, quantitative analysis, qualitative synthesis
- Prior professional experience in venture capital, investment banking, management or strategic consulting, health care services or some combination thereof a plus
- A sophisticated grasp of the health care services landscape and refined views on the future of the industry
- Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel with self-sufficiency in manipulating data/SQL and tableau skills a plus
- Strong desire to continue working in healthcare or entrepreneurship post-graduation
- Minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
