How you will make an impact
SonderMind is seeking a Strategy Lead who will partner with our company leaders to influence the long-term direction of the organization. The Strategy Lead will focus on shaping our long-range plan and ultimately influence our approach to increasing SonderMind's value and market share. This requires a deeply analytical, strategic perspective, a broad understanding of market and competitive trends, and a keen awareness of risks and opportunities.
The Strategy Lead will work closely with senior leaders across the company to lead critical strategic initiatives across all areas of the business, tackling some of the biggest questions facing a scaling high-growth company in the mental health space. This person will have a direct impact on some of our most important strategic and commercial decisions, in close partnership with finance, corporate development, operations, etc. Your work will directly shape our ability to redesign behavioral health to become more accessible, approachable, and utilized.
What you'll do
  • Lead the ongoing definition of our long-term strategy, identifying the most attractive opportunities and ensuring SonderMind is positioned to win
  • Lead cross-functional projects to explore, evaluate, and recommend strategies and tactics in support of SonderMind's Strategic Priorities
  • Take the lead in solving the most complex strategic issues facing SonderMind
  • Lead the communication of trends, implications and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Act as a key contributor for a range of strategic planning and finance activities (e.g. annual strategic planning, business case development, budgeting, M&A)
  • Monitor and forecast changes to customer / business / market needs and lead initiatives to deliver an optimal response for SonderMind

Education & Experience
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • MBA or relevant degree
  • Experience in structuring and managing complex cross-enterprise projects and processes with peers and senior leaders
  • Extensive experience interacting with and presenting to senior executives and board members on a regular basis
  • Demonstrated success helping teams develop priorities and execute choices that led to winning within their domain
  • Example project types may include: long-term strategy; internal consulting; strategic perspective on operational projects; business case development
  • Experience in venture-backed technology and or healthcare/HealthTech industry strongly preferred
  • Consulting (internal or external) experience strongly preferred

The anticipated starting salary for this role is $135,000- $155,000. This role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and variable bonus plan. Actual compensation and title is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
