Job Description

ADP is hiring for a Strategy Manager. The Strategy Manager will be an integral member of the Small Business Services (SBS) strategy team and work closely with members of SBS's Senior Leadership Team to help drive top and bottom-line results. They will report directly to the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development and work to develop and execute SBS's multi-year strategic plan. Successful candidates will thrive in an engaging and fast-paced environment within a rapidly growing business unit.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Help manage the multi-year strategic planning process for SBS: develop short, mid, and long-term strategies using fact-based analyses
  • Assist in structuring the monthly SBS Senior Leadership Team and Business Development Council meetings designed to drive short term decisions for key strategic initiatives
  • Support business case development for various strategic initiatives
  • Interact with Senior Leaders across functions (e.g., Sales, Finance, Implementation and Service) to structure and analyze complex business problems and uncover actionable solutions
  • Work closely with the business development team to evaluate partnership opportunities
  • Develop compelling content (using Microsoft PowerPoint) that articulates strategic options and enables executive decision making
  • Drive prompt and efficient execution of recommendations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • MBA degree within majors in Engineering, Business, Economics, Finance, or Mathematics/Statistics
  • 3-5 years of work experience in relevant field, such as Consulting, Corporate Strategy or Finance
  • Strong content creation and business story-telling / presentation skills using PowerPoint
  • Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams; a person who thinks and acts at the senior level
  • Experience developing and evaluating strategies: Identifying and framing issues, developing hypotheses, conducting market research and analyses to test key hypotheses, developing execution plans
  • Strong conceptual problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills (financial modeling, basic statistics, regression analyses, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
  • MBA Preferred
  • Typically experience pre-MBA; experience in a consulting firm preferred
  • Experience developing and evaluating strategies: identifying and framing issues, developing hypotheses, conducting market research and analyses to test key hypotheses, developing execution plans
  • Comfort with reading and using financial statements
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Exceptional oral and written communications
  • Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams; a person who thinks and acts at the senior level
  • Ability to travel Up to 10% depending on specific projects
