Role Description:
As aStrategy Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of a set of companywide objectives each year. Within these objectives, you will be responsible for steering any specific programs that are cross-functional, complex, and vital to success. You will report to the VP of Strategy Operations, which is a separate department under our CEO.
What you'll do:
- Manage the execution aspect of key company priorities, including running the day-to-day project management, strategy, and reporting on a company OKR, in close cooperation with VP StrategyOps and the executive sponsor.
- Conduct research to influence the initiatives and the strategy of each program.
- Assist the VP StrategyOps with further analysis or resource justification to take to senior leadership, as needed.
- Drive 2-3 specific programs to accomplish desired results, on-time. All programs focused on must be derived from, and essential to, the OKRs.
- Become a subject matter expert on all facets of the programs you are managing. When someone has a question - whether it's the executive team, or a salesperson - you should know the answer or know how to find it.
- Deliver results through people, process, or technology changes. Influence without explicit authority and bring that authority in when needed.
- Specific programs may include:
- Creating a cross-sell/upsell playbook with our sales and success teams, including which product(s) to focus on, which customers to approach, and process design.
- Transforming our support speed and efficacy through both automation and data-focused human interaction, including proactive support that will help solve customer problems before the customer is even aware.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary.
What you'll bring to the table:
- MBA or equivalent experience (founder, department head, etc).
- 4-10 years of work experience.
- Startup or late-stage growth experience.
- Experience guiding complex, cross-functional initiatives. Common roles include program management, strategy operations, product management, brand management, general management, bizops, or founder.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral. Including presentation skills and selling an action plan using data and insights.
- Experience working directly with executives in change management and/or project management situations.
- Analytical ability, including proficiency with SQL and BI tools, and creating insights out of data that can inform strategy.

ShipBob believes in transparency while providing a competitive total compensation package with a pay for performance approach. The expected base pay range for this position is $140,000 - $175,000.
