EVALUATIONS:

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


1. A minimum of two years' experience in planning, organizing, and administering a physical fitness or athletic training program.
2. Possess and maintain a basic level group exercise or personal trainer certification from a nationally recognized and accredited certifying organization.
3. Knowledge of established exercise physiology principles, concepts and techniques to plan and conduct fitness testing, rehab, interpret results and develop effective fitness plans.
4. Able to demonstrate knowledge of and skill to administer health screenings, fitness assessments, functional assessments, exercise prescriptions, progressive individual fitness plans, and proper exercise techniques.
5. Possess a current CPR, AED, and First Aid certificate from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or obtain within 6 months of hire.


ADDITIONAL HIGHLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


1. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Exercise Science, Athletic Training, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Fitness or a related field appropriate to work of the position.
2. One year experience in supervision and management of health/fitness staff or equivalent leadership experience including providing work direction to other employees.
3. Current Certified Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator (TSAC-F) and Sports Performance Coach Level 1 - USA Weightlifting (USAW) or able to obtain within 6 months of hire.
 

Must be able to obtain and maintain a low-risk, non-sensitive Tier-1 background investigation with favorable eligibility as required.
