EVALUATIONS:

Qualifications

A Bachelor¿s Degree in an academic field related to the health sciences or allied sciences such as exercise physiology, kinesiology, or other related curricula focused on fitness assessment, or physiological adaptation to exercise and exercise program design and three years of experience in the fitness field.  Able to provide proper education and training on:  functional fitness, injury prevention, sports nutrition, proper execution of prescribed exercises and other related subjects. Will currently have or obtain within 6 months, National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and Tactical Strength and Conditioning certifications (TSAC), and USAW Level 1 Coach. Skill to plan, develop, evaluate HITT program effectiveness. Knowledge of and experience in administration of health screenings, fitness assessments, exercise prescriptions, conducting progressive individual fitness programs, and demonstrating proper exercise techniques sufficient to conduct comprehensive health and fitness programs. Current certifications in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and automated external defibrillator (CPR/AED) and First Aid.

This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.

  1. Describe your knowledge of the Marine Corps culture and ethos, rank structure, directive system and local chain of command.
  2. Describe your knowledge of MCCS and explain why its mission is important to the Marines, Sailors and their families.
  3. Describe your knowledge of the HITT program and how your education/certification would benefit the HITT program at MCAS Cherry Point.
  4. Describe how your abilities and personality can add value to MCCS.
  5. Describe your experience in coaching groups and individual athletes.
