Job Description

Position Summary:

The Stroke Coordinator, under the direction of the Director of Quality, is a licensed professional nurse that works collaboratively with the health care team, is customer focused and strives to meet unit and hospital goals in order to promote quality care for the stroke patients. This individual will also be accountable for assisting in community screening/education events, follow-up during hospitalization, patient teaching and post-hospitalization follow-up. The Stroke Program is responsible for outcome measurement for selected populations and monitoring of patient/family satisfaction.

Position Qualification: (Training, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities)

  • Five or more years of clinical experience in ED, Critical Care, or Neuro ICU Unit.
  • Experience in data collection, entry and analysis required.
  • Graduate from an approved nursing educational program
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English in writing and orally with all levels of the organization
  • Current FL Registered Nurse Licensure.
  • BLS
